Course Description

In this course, students will understand the underlying marketing strategies behind their favourite brands. Course material will cover different types of branding (corporate, personal, product, service) as well as the critical aspects of company branding strategies (design, logo, trust-building, advertising, company identity). Students will engage in interactive learning activities and demonstrate mastery of the material covered with an end-of-week activity where they will select a store at the Rideau Centre and discuss their branding strategies with the class. Materials needed include coloured markers and pens for in-class activities like group logo making.
