Social media is a significant part of teens’ lives, influencing how they express themselves, connect with others, and understand who they are. This course explores how constant use of platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat affects mental health, self-esteem, and identity. Through discussions, case studies, and hands-on activities, students will learn about peer pressure, social comparison, online validation, and digital well-being. By the end, they will understand how social media shapes their thoughts and feelings and learn strategies for healthier, more mindful online habits.
