Course Description
Have you ever wondered how TikTok figures out what you like, or how Netflix somehow recommends exactly the show you were just thinking about? In this course, you’ll discover how to make sense of data and turn it into meaningful stories. You’ll explore everything from why bad charts lie, to how AI models learn, and how they can fail in weird and surprising ways. As a mini-data scientist, you’ll build simple image-recognition models with Teachable Machine. Your final challenge is to create a Data Story - a group project that uses data, visuals, and a small AI model to answer a question that you care about. You’ll try out ideas, learn from mistakes, and understand how AI makes decisions.
No coding experience needed. Just bring curiosity and your best ideas. On the last day, you’ll share your project in a fun showcase (parents welcome!). If you’ve ever wondered what AI can really do - or what you can do with AI - this week is for you.
