Are you an aspiring polyglot? A present or future traveler? Someone curious about languages, cultures, and persons?Do you just want to be better in your French classes?
Learning a second language can be a challenge - but it can also be a rewarding experience that opens your eyes to new cultures and perspectives. In this class, you'll explore the foundational principles in second language learning; from where words come from, to how we comprehend and produce additional languages, to the important role that the teacher plays in the process. We'll use hands-on activities, reflective thinking, and research-based evidence to explore language learning as a practice and who we are as language learners. By the end of this class, you'll better understand how to learn any language you want...and maybe become a teacher in the process!
