Course Description

This hands-on course introduces students to clean energy and smart city technologies through real-world engineering projects. Students will explore the fundamentals of solar power, battery storage, and basic electronics as they build a functional solar USB charger. They will also learn how modern cities use automation to improve transportation systems, then apply this knowledge by programming an Arduino-based traffic light system. No prior experience is required. By the end of the week, students will understand key concepts in renewable energy and smart systems, and will take home both devices they built.
