Course Description
A mini and basic machine learning course. 1. A fun written/drawing component for inputs and outputs of a simple ML model. 2. A mini coding session in a pre-made template(s) on Jupyter notebook. 3. Propose different problems, solution options, and ask for a structured proposal and possible presentation. Overall, start with the basics of ML and work with basic specifics (eg, different ML models) from there, with a focus on interactive activities. Skills acquired: understanding of basic and general ML workflows, python, ML intuition; problem-solving using ML, proposal generation, presentation.
Biography
I'm a MASc (concentration in AI) student at uOttawa. I've been a private tutor since gr.9 and had 4 TA placements; I really enjoy teaching and excel at breaking down complex concepts into simple ones both at university and at my workplace.
