Description du cours
This course would examine how social media (particularly TikTok) shapes global justice movements. Students will explore how platforms like TikTok and Instagram influence public opinion, build solidarity, and challenge dominant narratives about conflict, race, gender, and inequality. Through multimedia activities and hands-on exercises, students will analyze how online activism emerges, spreads, and impacts real-world outcomes. We will also discuss the responsibilities of users when spreading awareness. By the end of the week, students will understand how global issues are communicated online, and how young people can use digital tools critically and responsibly to advocate for meaningful social change.
Biographie
As a Teaching Assistant, I have supported learners across different age groups and academic levels. I worked with Senior Kindergarten students, helping them develop early reading and writing skills, supporting daily routines, and contributing to a warm and engaging classroom environment. Also, I served as a TA for the undergraduate course DVM 2510 (Éducation, santé et protection sociale / Education, Health, and Social Protection) at the university, where I offered feedback on assignments. These experiences strengthened my communication skills and my ability to support diverse learners effectively.
