Course Description
The 25-hour course would be split into two parts: first, a foundation on the basics of international law, and then an interactive case study on the S.S. Lotus (France vs. Turkey). I believe this format will be highly engaging, allowing students to debate, collaborate, and explore what they consider just. By dividing the class into French and Turkish teams, students can apply what they’ve learned before comparing their conclusions to the actual international court ruling.
