Course Description
Step into the shoes of a health “detective” in this intro to qualitative research mini-course! You’ll explore how people’s lived experiences provide valuable clues that help researchers understand real health issues. You’ll get the chance to practice research methods like participant observation (scoping out the scene), interviewing participants (gathering key “witness” testimony), and running focus groups, ultimately gathering meaningful behavioural insights from diverse human perspectives. As you develop skills in research ethics, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, you’ll discover how qualitative research helps solve everyday health questions and you’ll gain the confidence to investigate the human stories behind them.
