Description du cours

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a curator? Believe it or not, you already are! Curating is all about choosing and arranging things in creative, meaningful, or eye-catching ways—and it’s not just something that happens in fancy museums. It’s everywhere in your daily life: the pastries perfectly arranged in a bakery case, the mannequins styled to slay in store windows, the photographs or posters you hang in your room, the collectibles you display on your shelves, the carefully selected content of your Instagram feed, and even the playlists you create for different moods or moments. All of that is curating—your curating.

In this hands-on, interactive course, you’ll step into the shoes of a real curator and explore how they shape the way we experience art, artefacts, stories, and ideas. Through fun workshops and visits to actual exhibitions and galleries, you’ll learn how curators make decisions, how they choose what to include (and what to leave out), and how elements like layout, color, sound, and light can be used effectively in a space to change the way people think and feel. You’ll get to experiment with creating art, arranging objects, using multimedia, writing labels, and designing spaces that tell a story, make an argument, offer an experience, or create an impression.

Throughout the week, you and your classmates will work together to co-curate your own multimedia exhibit on a topic you care about. We’ll finish with a special opening celebration where friends and family are invited to experience your exhibit and see the results of your creativity and teamwork.
If you love art, design, storytelling, discovering new ideas, or just want to see the world in a new way, this course is for you. Get ready to create something unforgettable!
