Course Description
What really goes on inside an intelligent machine? This mini-course takes students on a journey into the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence, where computers learn, recognize patterns, and make decisions. Through interactive activities and creative challenges, participants will explore how AI mimics human thinking and powers technologies such as recommendations, voice assistants, and self-driving cars. The course blends curiosity with problem-solving, encouraging students to question, explore, and imagine the future of smart technology. By the end, they will understand not just how machines learn, but what makes intelligence truly human.
Biography
I am Viraj Vardhan, a Master’s student in Systems Science and Engineering at the University of Ottawa, with a B.Tech. in Production and Industrial Engineering from IIT Delhi. I have served as a Teaching Assistant for multiple machine learning and optimization courses, mentoring undergraduate students in hands-on programming and applied research.
